Doubts in Kerry can help Rebels finish the task

THE reaction to last Sunday’s drawn game, after what was a largely disappointing Munster SFC semi-final has been interesting on a number of fronts.

Doubts in Kerry can help Rebels finish the task

The general consensus would be that holders Cork passed up a very good chance of beating a Kerry team which went into the game with a higher rating nationally, while some of the views from outside would indicate that regard for Jack O’Connor’s team has been dented somewhat by the comparative weakness of their performance.

Interestingly, though, you won’t find too many people saying that Cork missed the boat, or that they won’t have as good a chance of finishing the job in this evening’s replay in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. On the face of it, they would appear to be in a stronger position to win, especially with the continuing doubt about Tommy Walsh’s fitness to line out for Kerry.
