CORK star Tom Kenny says he and his team-mates will take the positives from their narrow defeat at the hands of Tipperary into the unpredictable qualifier route.

The Premier County were heavily favoured beforehand but the Leesiders rallied in the second half to push their opponents all the way to the finish, and Kenny says Cork have reason to be confident.

“There were positives for us,” said Kenny. “Eoin Cadogan played well and so did Aisake O hAilpín. Everyone wrote us off but we got within a goal of Tipperary at the same time, so in itself that’s a positive.
