Donaghy out for 8-10 weeks

KERRY have suffered a serious blow to their Championship plans with confirmation last night that All Star attacker Kieran Donaghy is out for up to ten weeks.

Donaghy out for 8-10 weeks

The Austin Stacks star will undergo an operation in Dublin today on the stress fracture of the foot picked up in the National League final against Derry at Croke Park. The most optimistic scenario would see him back in action in eight weeks, meaning he will miss the clash with Cork in Killarney on June 7 and the provincial final on July 5, were Kerry to be involved.

However it’s more likely he’ll be sidelined for three months, meaning Donaghy will only be back in contention if they make it to the quarter finals in August.
