GAA President Christy Cooney is confident the Leinster Championship will have lasting appeal despite the perceived dominance of Kilkenny.

“Facing the future with vigour and vibrancy,” was how Christy Cooney described the launch of the 2009 Leinster SHC in Kilkenny Castle yesterday.

“The hurling championship is always strong and vibrant, and this year should be no different,” he said.
