Red Hands’ mixed news on Cavanagh injuries

TYRONE boss Mickey Harte last night revealed Sean Cavanagh suffered a form of whiplash in Saturday’s four-point All-Ireland qualifier victory over Westmeath.

Cavanagh fell awkwardly in the latter stages of the first half and medics placed him in a neck brace before he was removed by ambulance to hospital.

But Harte said that the prognosis for the former All Star is positive and hasn’t ruled out his availability for next weekend’s third round clash with defeated Connacht finalists, Mayo.
