McNamara in defiant mood

CLARE manager Mike McNamara was in defiant form after his side’s Munster final defeat and warned that the hurling world has not seen the last of this team.

Said McNamara: “We’re not going back where we were at all. Of that there’s no doubt. Clare hurling is on a level now and we’re up with the best. We mightn’t always prove it, but we’re going to be there, or thereabouts before the year is out.”

McNamara accepted their poor finishing in the first half undermined their challenge to a significant degree.
