For Waterford boss Justin McCarthy the disappointment of losing the league title was clearly manifest. In fact the assembled media had a 45 minute wait for an interview as McCarthy presided over what one insider described as “a heart to heart’’ with the players as they begin preparations for the first round Munster championship showdown with Clare on June 1.
