Donaghy heaps praise on new boy Walsh

KERRY star Kieran Donaghy has heaped praise on the Kingdom’s new forward discovery – even if he and Tommy Walsh may end up jousting for the same place come the championship.

Walsh impressed observers with a powerful display at full-forward against Laois last Saturday night, and the man who has worn the green and gold number 14 jersey has been doing his best to help the new sensation settle in.

“I was delighted for Tommy,” says Donaghy. “He’s a good friend of mine and probably my brother Conor’s best friend – he’d always be up in my house, so we’d always talk.
