Successor to secretary due within weeks

SIMON MORONEY’S successor as secretary of the Munster Council of the GAA could be in place in a matter of weeks — if not in time for the annual convention on February 29 — then a short time later.

And the announcement of the new appointment of deputy secretary is likely to follow quickly.

This follows the surprise resignation of Moroney in mid-January.
