Sadly Teddy, there’s only one way out of this mess

WHY do we listen to those magnificent thinkers in the Cork County Board? Yet here we are, into the second month of 2008, and GAA minds that are still mired deep in the last century still hold sway.

In the last two weeks matters relating to the Cork players’ strike and the government grant scheme have gone from bad to worse, a thoroughly depressing state of affairs.

On the former, at least, I have come home from my travels with the solution, the only solution.
