A PHOTOGRAPHER has lodged an official complaint to Gardaí following an incident at yesterday’s Munster JFC Final in Askeaton.

John Kelly, a photographer with the Clare Champion was punched and had his cameras damaged in a melee which developed after O’Callaghans’ Mills one-point defeat to Canovee.

The match referee, Tommy O’Sullivan from Waterford had angered the Clare fans by awarding a last-minute penalty which decided the game. A number of players and mentors confronted the official after the final whistle with Kelly receiving his injuries subsequently.
