O’Neill: club won’t be punished
The Wexford match official was leaving the field after the game — in which he had awarded a controversial penalty to Tyrrellsspass six minutes from time — when an unidentified spectator attempted to strike him.
“Our policy is that where people are named and where clubs give us the culprits, we punish the culprits and not the club,” said O’Neill. “I have done that since I came into the Leinster Council.”
