Fitzgerald facing conflict of interest

CONTROVERSIAL Clare goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald faces a conflict of interest should he come through his first round match in the McNamara Builders South of Ireland Championship at Lahinch tomorrow.

Fitzgerald facing conflict of interest

Fitzgerald will go through to meet Cian Curley (Newlands) in tomorrow’s second round should he advance against Kenneth Fahey of Connemara.

But that match is timed for 1pm, one hour before the throw-in for Clare’s All-Ireland quarter-final against Limerick at Croke Park!

In spite of his difficulties with the Clare management, Davy is as passionate a Clare fan but this time he may have to keep his eye on a different shaped ball.
