Kearns demands much more from O’Moore County

SINCE his appointment as Laois manager in September, Liam Kearns has been watering down whatever expectation existed about the county side since the glory days of Mick O’Dwyer.

Talked up as possible All-Ireland dark horses for most of that spell, Laois instead ended up losing the shorter race in Leinster three years in-a-row.

What promised to be an age of dominance became an era of regret.
