Bans won’t make Déise’s task easier, says McCarthy

JUSTIN McCarthy is dismissive of the notion that Waterford’s task in beating Cork in Sunday’s Munster SHC semi-final in Thurles will be less difficult if the holders are forced to line out with the three suspended players.
Bans won’t make Déise’s task easier, says McCarthy

However, while he would clearly have a view on the suspensions as a former Cork star and manager , he made it clear that he had no wish to comment.

“We have our own focus. We have to get our own team in order,’” he said. When it was put to him that the public perception would be that Waterford’s chances of victory would now be enhanced, he responded: “I don’t see how it would. It would be a lot harder if the players are not playing. They (Cork) would be a lot more determined to win ‘for them.”
