Canty just happy to be back in the fray

GRAHAM CANTY returned to the Cork senior football team yesterday for his first championship game since last year’s final replay against Kerry, during which he ruptured his cruciate knee ligament, and proved just how important he is to his side as they crushed Limerick with a second half display that augurs well for the rest of the campaign.

The Bantry Blues man lined out at full back and produced a masterful display, thundering out of defence time and again with the ball much to the delight of the home following.

Reflecting on his first competitive outing in almost ten months, Canty was delighted to be back in action.
