Donaghy battling to be fit for Aussie clash

KIERAN DONAGHY hopes a groin injury will not end his ambitions of facing the Australians for the first time in next month’s International Rules Series.

The Kerry player, who sat out Monday night’s GOAL challenge, is hopeful he will play his part for club and country in the next few crucial weeks.

“I’d like to make it,” the 23-year old said when accepting his Opel Player of the Month award for September in Dublin yesterday,
