Tyrone All-star Gormley breaks ankle

TYRONE’S injury jinx has struck again. All-star defender Conor Gormley broke his ankle in a club game at the weekend and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

It’s the latest in a series of setbacks suffered by Tyrone, including the county being robbed of the play-making talents of Brian McGuigan after he broke a leg.

Key players such as Brian Dooher, Stephen O’Neill and Gerard Cavlan also missed important championship games as the Red Hands relinquished their Sam Maguire Cup title.
