Antrim far too strong for Cats

ANTRIM proved too strong for Kilkenny in yesterday’s Tommy Murphy Cup clash at Casement Park, with the Saffrons winning by a margin of 1-24 to 1-8.

Kilkenny had led 1-2 to 0-2 early on, thanks to a David Herity goaled penalty after he had been fouled.

Antrim battled back and when Ciaran McGourty netted, the Ulster side led 1-7 to 1-2.
