McGrath Munster Hurler of Year

ALLSTAR Ken McGrath was yesterday named the AIB Munster Hurler of the Year.

The award, like his Allstar, is somewhat bittersweet for McGrath, as both Waterford and Mount Sion failed in their quest for All-Ireland honours. McGrath was inspirational in the Munster club final when his side were pipped by Toomevara.

Other winners from the provincial hurling championships include Athenry’s Joe Rabbitte; James Stephen’s Eoin Larkin and Rossa’s Jim Connolly.
