Allen admits to doubts over his ability to manage Cork

CORK manager John Allen yesterday admitted to having had major doubts about his coaching abilities when he accepted the role last year.

As the double Guinness All-Ireland SHC champions began the first day of their celebrations in Dublin, Allen recalled his early days in the role.

“I never had any interest, no experience or no background. I never, ever looked on myself as being manager potential,” he said.
