Disquiet at Cork needs to end, now

WHAT’S going on in Cork? That’s the first question that greets me, everywhere I go these days in GAA circles.

Disquiet at Cork needs to end, now

My answer is always the same I don't know. I don't know if anyone knows exactly what's going on, behind those closed doors, but this much I do know: so far, it's not good.

Since Donal O´g Cusack's famous radio outburst on the shambles behind the scenes that so disrupted the Cork preparations this year, there have been developments. Developments, but not progress. Two people on the management team with whom the current players would have had the least problem are gone, the two with whom they would have had most friction are still there, and in the background, hovering over everything, the most powerful figure of them all.
