Allen can’t explain loss of form in second-half

VICTORIOUS manager John Allen was at a loss to explain why his Cork charges almost threw away a huge lead against Tipperary in yesterday’s incredible Munster final.

“Obviously we ran out of steam at midfield and in our half forward division but, honestly, I will have to study the video to pinpoint where we went wrong.

“It was bizarre, stranger than strange, like the plot of the Da Vinci Code, said a relieved Allen, after his side weathered a fierce Tipp storm.
