Tyrone have Cavanagh and Devine back for Kerry clash
Both missed last weekend’s draw with Cork because of their Under 21 commitments. Devine takes over the goalkeeping spot from Pascal McConnell, while Cavanagh comes in at midfield for Kevin Hughes.
Kerry have made a number of changes from the side that defeated Mayo in their previous game.
Brendan O’Mahony and Ronan O’Connor have been called up to make their senior debuts. O’Mahony takes over the left corner back position from Brendan Guiney. O’Connor is selected at right half back in place of the injured Seamus Moynihan, while John Sheehan returns to fill the left half back position vacated by Tommy Griffen.
Donal Daly and Seamus Scanlon form a new midfield partnership with William Kirby sidelined because of injury and Eoin Brosnan moving to centre forward.
Meanwhile, Galway recall Gary Fahey, Declan Meehan, Michael Meehan and Noel Meehan for their last game of the competition against Cavan at Breffni Park.
Fahey takes over from Kieran Fitzgerald at full back. Declan Meehan replaces Barry Doohey at right half back. Michael Meehan comes in at right corner forward instead of Tommy Joyce. While Noel Meehan is preferred to Nicky Joyce at top of the left.
Offaly have kept faith with the team that trounced Roscommon last time out. Offaly need only a draw to move up to Division 1 next season.
Not surprisingly, in light of their heroics against Galway a fortnight ago, Wexford have also announced an unchanged team for their Leinster local-derby clash with Laois at Portlaoise.
Laois welcome back Darren Rooney. The brilliant right half back missed the earlier games in the competition after undergoing a cartilage operation.
The only other change on the side that accounted for Cavan in Mick O’Dwyer’s side last outing sees Mark Dunne taking over the left half forward position from Michael Lawlor.
Longford won’t name their team to play Dublin at Parnell Park until just shortly before the throw-in. Definitely out however, is regular centre back David Hanniffy who underwent surgery on a damaged ankle yesterday and is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks. Two other players, Paul Barden and Niall Sheridan are also giving cause for concern following knocks they received in the last game against Fermanagh.
