Limerick’s qualifiers appeal fails

LIMERICK’S appeal to have the All-Ireland senior football qualifiers re-drawn has been turned down by the Games Administration Council.

Limerick’s qualifiers appeal fails

Limerick had based their appeal on the grounds that the draws should have been deferred until after Wexford and Monaghan had played their final round two game next weekend.

In the initial draw for the next round of qualifiers, Derry had been paired against the winners of the Wexford v Monaghan match. But since Derry had already played Monaghan in the Ulster championship, it was decided to have a re-draw and this time Limerick were pitted against the northerners.
