JIM FORBES, Chairman of the Cork County Board, would like to take issue with those who claim that there is a general air of over-confidence among Cork fans in the lead-up to this Sunday’s All-Ireland senior hurling semi-final against Wexford.

Contrary to those who are making those assertions, Forbes bases his assertion on cold facts.

"You would have to say that certain sections are over-confident, there's no denying that, but judging by the demand for tickets, it would seem to me that Cork fans generally don't share that feeling. There is absolutely phenomenal interest in this game, from all clubs first of all. We've been in contact with the clubs to find out what their requirements are, and it's been exceptional, especially for a semi-final.
