Cork and Tipp a matter of honour

AT first glance the meeting of Tipperary and Cork in Thurles tomorrow in the final round of the first phase of the NHL is a meaningless encounter, both sides having already qualified for the top tier in the second phase.

Not so, according to Cork manager John Allen. Never so, in fact.

"Cork and Tipperary is always a matter of honour, if nothing else, and even though there's nothing at stake this Sunday qualification-wise, I have no doubt Tipperary will want to win this one, and so do we."
