McDonnell not backing new telecom service

ARMAGH star Steven McDonnell is not endorsing the latest telecom service unveiled in Dublin on Tuesday, the Carphone Warehouse-sponsored Gaelic Players Association said yesterday.

They were responding to publicity surrounding the launch of the Cross-Sport service, at which Galway footballer Padraic Joyce, Cork footballer Colin Corkery and Tipperary hurler Eoin Kelly were in attendance to offer their endorsement.

Reports indicated that, while McDonnell was unable to attend, he also endorsed the new service - which will benefit players directly.
