WEXFORD manager Pat Roe is keeping a tight reign on expectations following their impressive two point victory over Meath on Sunday.

Deficiencies in several areas, not least in attack, were more of a worry to Laois-born Roe after their first victory in the top flight. A four point lead with nine minutes to go was surrendered and though his charges finished strongly, Roe was critical of their failure to put more scores on the board.

“To be fair to the lads this is our first season in the top flight and you have got to be pleased with the victory,” he said.
