Ladies in crucial football and camogie clashes
The football is at semi-finals stage as All-Ireland senior club champions Ballyboden St Enda's face Donoughmore of Cork creating huge expectations (tomorrow, Donaghmore 1pm).
The sides last met in last year's decider with the Dubliners snatching a one-point victory. Apart from the revenge factor, the Cork champions would also love to complete a remarkable season after the county won League and championship honours. Rena Buckley and Mary O'Connor are amongst those chasing double honours.
Donoughmore boss Mossy Barrett downplays suggestions of vengeance.
"We don't look back on our success or our defeats we always take the next game as it comes. And we are not feeling any extra pressure because of the county success. Our thoughts are on our own success we have our own incentives."
Those incentives have already won the club ten county, ten provincial and two All-Ireland titles.
Facing them are a Ballyboden outfit backboned by veteran Martina Farrell and Fiona Corcoran. The Leinster champions have had an impressive season, defeating Na Fianna in Dublin to collect their sixth county title.
Sunday's winners will face Galway's St. Brendan's or Monaghan's Donaghmoyne in the final.
The weekend action is not confined to the seniors. Cork's Mourneabbey face Taras of London while Kildare's Athgarvan meet Clones in the junior semis, while Longford side Clonguish face Clan Eireann of Armagh and Abbeydorney of Kerry take on London's Parnells in the last four of the intermediate.
In the camogie tomorrow, All-Ireland club champions St Lachtains of Freshford, Kilkenny face Antrim and Ulster champions Rossa in Freshford (1pm) while Munster champions Cashel travel to Tynagh in Galway to meet Davitts in the other semi.
Cashel Manager Liam Cahill said "there is no pressure on us to win, but at the same time this is the one medal that eludes a lot of the players and so we will be hoping to make it to the All-Ireland Final, but at the start of the season our aim was to win back the county title and after that everything else was a bonus, but now we are nearer to the final we are very much focused on winning on Saturday."
