Former hurling star shines Down Under

FORMER Cork hurler Setanta Ó hAilpín continues to make waves on the Aussie Rules football front with his latest performance for his Carlton-based club drawing rave reviews.

Ó hAilpín produced a solid performance for his Northern Bullants side last weekend as they made further progress towards sealing a place in the Victorian Football League finals.

The Irish exile notched three goals during a sparkling five minutes spell in the Carlton feeder club’s match with the Werribee Tigers.

Sadly, however, Ó hAilpín’s heroics weren’t enough to prevent Bullants from going down by 119 to 122.
