Broken bone rules Hayes out of Munster final

JOHN HAYES is out of the Munster U-21 FC final against Waterford on April 13 after breaking a bone in his hand during Cork’s semi-final win over Tipperary.

The six week lay-off means the Carbery Rangers man is out of Sunday's NFL tie with Monaghan a game which Cork must win to retain Division One status.

Said Billy Morgan: "It's most unfortunate for John to miss out on a Munster final, and he will certainly be a big loss to the senior team on Sunday.
