Finn names an unchanged Cork side against Tipp

CORK have named an unchanged side for Sunday’s All-Ireland senior camogie championship final against Tipperary in Croke Park.

As expected, boss Pa Finn has kept faith with the starting 15 that easily disposed of Galway in the semi-final.

Twelve months ago against Sunday’s opponents, three wondrous goals from corner forward Fiona O’Driscoll decided the shoot-out between two sets of highly skilled forwards. Once again the Ballymacoda star leads the Rebel attack from left corner forward.

Caoimhe Harrington, who was also a key figure in last season’s victory, retains her place in the number 14 shirt while Orla O’Sullivan fills the right corner forward position.

Stephanie Dunlea, who captains the team, is named at left corner back She will be joined in the last line by Denise Cronin at full back and Joanne O’Callaghan in the other corner.

Unsurprisingly, Cork’s lethal half back line remains intact with Paula, Mary and Gemma O’Connor.

Midfield also has an air of familiarity with Vivienne Harris and Rachel Moloney facing Tipperary’s new pairing of Angie McDermott and Emily Hayden. The half forward trio of Una O’Donoghue, Emer Dillon and Jennifer O’Leary are entrusted with the job of delivering to the inside line while the Rebels once again place their trust in number one choice keeper Ger Casey.

Colette Desmond, Nora Ahern, Briege Corkery, Sara Hayes and Catriona Foley are amongst the substitutes.

Aine Derham of Dublin has been appointed to referee her sixth All-Ireland senior final, while Tipperary’s Eamonn Browne officiates at the junior decider between Galway and Clare.
