Gardiner in battle to be fit for semi-final

CORK's John Gardiner is battling to be fit for the All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Wexford on August 15.

Gardiner broke a bone in his hand in a county SFC tie between his club Na Piarsaigh and Aghada. He will be sidelined for three weeks.

"I'm gutted at the thought of missing out," Gardiner said.
