Day of reckoning as the pressure mounts on Kearns

JUDGMENT day dawns on Sunday for Limerick footballers and coach Liam Kearns as they face their second Munster final in a row against Kerry.

After five years of struggling with only an Under-21 title to show for his efforts, Kearns and his charges get another opportunity to conquer Munster and a chance to avenge last year’s defeat when they take on mighty Kerry at the Gaelic Grounds.

Kerry-born Kearns was appointed coach to the county’s Under-21 footballers and in 2000 he steered them to Munster honours in a never-to-be- forgotten night in Dungarvan.
