Munster are set to bolster their midfield ranks with the signing of Leicester Tigers' Dan Kelly, according to reports.
The Tigers centre is out of contract at the end of the season, with Munster understood to be likeliest destination for the 2025/26 campaign.
Capped at senior level by England in 2021 and included in the 2023 Six Nations squad, Manchester-born Kelly is also a former Ireland under-20 international, having qualified through his Irish grandparents.
According to Kelly is now understood to be in advanced talks with Munster about a move to the 2023 URC champions.
A move to Munster - who are currently working under an interim head coach, Ian Costello, after Graham Rowntree's departure a number of months ago - would see Kelly immediately qualify for an Ireland call-up as 36 months have elapsed since being capped by England.
The province are understood to be long-time admirers of Kelly, having made a move for the powerful midfielder last year.
The 23-year-old has made eight appearances for Michael Cheika's Tigers this year, scoring one try. His arrival would provide extra options for the Munster coaching ticket, supplementing the talents of Alex Nankivell, Tom Farrell, Sean O'Brien and Rory Scannell.
The reports come hot on the heels of interim head coach Costello's admission that the province is close to confirming a number of additions to the squad - both from elsewhere and from the academy - in the coming weeks.
Leinster front-row forwards Lee Barron and Michael Milne have also been heavily linked with moves south.
