Earlier this month, delegates at the Clare county board meeting were informed of the decision to undertake an inspection to determine if the capacity of 18,000 could be increased for the Clare-Limerick game. 

When the news came through last week that the inspection had resulted in an increased capacity of over 2,000 spectators, executive board members in clubs across Clare and Limerick were suddenly able to answer their phones again.
