Rio security carry out controlled explosion on bag close to cycling finish line

A controlled explosion has been carried out on a bag close to the finish area of the Olympic cycling road race, Rio 2016 organisers have confirmed.

Sources have told the Press Association the bag was dropped from a window of a building near the finish line area and subsequently destroyed by police.
