LeBron James sent Jason Day’s wife to hospital last night

Ellie Day, wife of golfer Jason, ended up in hospital last night after a trip to watch Cleveland Cavaliers defeat Oklahoma City Thunder.

Day needed the medical attention after being accidentally crushed by Cavaliers star LeBron James as he chased a stray ball.

LeBron, who is 6’8” and weighs in at 250lbs, smashed into Day as she watched the match from courtside.

Day left the court on a stretcher and was kept overnight at a local hospital for observation, but is believed to be fine now.

The basketball star later tweeted an apology for the accident, and invited her back to another game.

Maybe not courtside though - those prime seats carry a risk.
