Taylor advances to final

Irish lightweight Katie Taylor is just one fight away from retaining her European title for a third year on the trot following an impressive semi-final victory over southpaw Yana Zavyalona at the 6th Women's European Championships in Vejle Denmark this afternoon.

Taylor took the opening two rounds against the Ukrainian (4-0, 6-1) before being handed an 11-4 verdict at the end of the third and final round.
