Officials to examine course in Euro Championship bid

Dublin's bid to stage the European Cross-Country Championships in 2009 has come under the microscope this week.

A vetting team from the European Athletics Association have been studying the proposed course at Santry Demense for two days.

France and Poland are also in the hunt to host the competition.

Mary Coughlan from Athletics Ireland has said it's an ambitious bid, but they are hopeful.
