Cricket legend Lara announces retirement

West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara has announced he will retire from all forms of international cricket after Saturday's World Cup match against England.

Lara captained the Windies in their unsuccessful bid to win the World Cup in the Caribbean and while his retirement from the one-day game was expected, his decision to stand down from Test cricket has come as a surprise.
