Antrim teenager Mark Allen has claimed the World Amateur Championship title in Holland with an 11-6 victory over Australia's Steve Mifsud.

Antrim teenager Mark Allen has claimed the World Amateur Championship title in Holland with an 11-6 victory over Australia's Steve Mifsud.

Allen recovered well after losing the opening frame to a 135 clearance to move into a 6-4 lead at the end of the first session in Holland.

His best break in the first session was a run of 63 in the third frame but his good tactical play gave him the edge.
