Jones secures Olympics spot
Marion Jones will compete in this summer's Olympic Games after she won the long jump competition at the US Olympic trials.
The three-time Olympic champion produced a leap of 7.11m - well within the qualifying standard of 6.70m - to book her place on the US squad.
Jones won a bronze medal in the long jump in Sydney four years ago.
"I think I had just a little bit of motivation," Jones said. "It feels really good and I had fun out there."
The 28-year-old will not defend her 100m title in Athens after finishing a disappointing fifth in the trials.
