Part victory stuns the Power

World number one John Part produced a brilliant display to send defending champion Phil Taylor crashing out of the tournament today.

Part prevailed with an 8-6 win over the man who produced the second live nine-darter of his career last night.

The Canadian got off to a good start and raced into a 3-1 lead with a successful attempt at double 19.

Taylor responded by nailing double 16 and four to level the match, but Part reeled off the next two to move ahead.

The pattern continued as Taylor levelled again and the next two legs were shared.

But Part was able to lift his game and he took out double nine and 20 to secure another famous win over ‘The Power’.
