Irishman takes bronze at Triathlon World Championships
Irish triathlete Trevor Woods has won a bronze medal in the 30-34 age grouping at the 2004 Triathlon World Championshhips in Madeira, Portugal.
Woods completed the course, comprising a 1500m swim, a 40k cycle and 10k run, in 2.04.57. He was placed 10th overall.
Also racing for Ireland were: Bobby Behan 2.07.04; Andrew McAuliffe 2.25.31; Wes Murphy 2.26.48; Emma Riggs 2.36.24; Ailbhe Healy 2.40.10; and Hugh McAtamney who finished in 2.46.
