Lara breaks cricket score world record
Brian Lara today made cricketing history as he set a world-record Test score of 384 and counting.
Lara is also the first player in Test history to hold the record for the highest individual innings twice.
The West Indies captain needed 68 runs today and passed Matthew Hayden’s mark of 380 in fine style, hitting a six to draw level and sweeping Gareth Batty for four to make history.
He is also only the second player in history – behind the legendary Donald Bradman – to score two Test triple hundreds in his career.
