Scotland investigate drugs allegations
Scotland's Commonwealth Games Council have launched an investigation into allegations that a top team boss is helping competitors buy performance-enhancing drugs.
Just days before the Manchester showpiece gets under way The Sunday Mail claims a blind eye is being turned to steroid use .
The Scottish Commonwealth Games Council have moved quickly to investigate the allegations and released a statement on behalf of the team.
It read: "The Council take allegations of this nature very seriously, and in accordance with their own doping policy and team member agreement they will be carrying out a full investigation with immediate effect.
"No further comment will be made until the matter is concluded."
