Ronaldo settled Brazilian nerves with an equaliser early in the second half.

He stole in at the back post to convert a Rivaldo cross after the Barcelona midfielder had got free of his marker on the left.

The 50th minute goal was Ronaldo's 38th in his 58th game for Brazil.
