Serious doubts raised over Stadium Ireland

A report on the viability of the so-called "Bertie Bowl" has raised serious concerns about the project.

The Progressive Democrats are witholding agreement on the building of the major stadium and sports campus at Abbotstown in Co Dublin.

The PDs have said that the report has added credibility to their concerns over the project.

A party spokesman said the report raises serious questions about the structure, cost and process of delivery.

He added that the Tanaiste's priority is to have the report published as soon as possible.

Government sources said the report should be published within the next two weeks.
